Cannabis Friendly Cinco De Mayo Celebration
Although many people believe that Cinco de Mayo is the celebration of Mexican Independence Day (which is actually September 16th), it is actually the commemoration of Mexico’s victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla.
If you are opting to trade out your margaritas for marijuana we are here to tell you, you can have it all! Here are some of our favorite Green friendly ways to celebrate Cinco De Mayo.
Get The Green
According to the California Avocado Commission, “Americans consume up to 81 million pounds of avocados on Cinco de Mayo every year.” Make this Cinco De Mayo extra green by checking your local dispensaries for any specials! We recommend keeping an eye out for these Mexican Strains.
Mexican Sativa
Sativa-Dominant Hybrid
Mexican Sativa is a sativa-dominant hybrid. Since it is lower in THC, it is a great choice for beginners.
Acapulco Gold
Acapulco Gold is an incredibly rare sativa strain that is high in myrcene,. (What the heck is myrcene? It is one of the naturally occurring chemical compounds found in fruits, herbs, and plants. It is responsible for creating the spicy, earthy aroma and taste in foods. Myrcene is also found in mangos and bay leaves.). The buds are said to resemble golden nuggets. It is said to be one of the best strains ever!
Infused Crema
Pour the sour cream into a bowl, add ingredients such as lime, salt, garlic, cilantro or blended avocado to taste, and mix to make a crema.
